American poet, journalist and essayist,  Whitman incorporated natural speech rhythms into poetry. He disregarded metre, but the overall effect has a melodic character.

Realist. He incorporated both views in his works.

 

Sophomore Year

It's my first year here at canton south. I have to admit at first i was scared, but i do like it here. So far my sophomore year here has been great. I've met a bunch of cool people. All of my teachers are great. They do things a lot differently then perry.  The days seem a lot shorter too. I do think the computers are cool, perry never had them. I do have a feeling most of the kinds will get tired of taking them to class with them. Over all, my sophomore year is going well.
